EXERCISE 1 – STAY IN ONE SPOT
This is a great exercise for stretching your photojournalism and observation skills. Take 30 photos without moving more than two feet. Each photo should be different. Mix up your focal lengths, lens choices, aperture, shutter speed, leading lines, framing, and perspective.

Now do the same exercise where you shoot one subject (could be a stationary object such as a fruit bowl, a flower, a fire hydrant… anything) and you move around and take 30 photos. The subject cannot move. It must stay in the same place. Each photo should be different. Mix up your focal lengths, lens choices, aperture, shutter speed, leading lines, framing, and perspective.
