Omgosh I can’t wait for you to see how cute Chelsea was when she walked, then twirled down the path towards her husband-to-be, Gabe. After walking past her parents she tapped him on the shoulder to turn around. His expression was so sweet. You’ll just have to take a look! Like many couples over the last year and a half, these two love birds switched gears and plans several times before deciding ‘the heck with it – we just wanna get married.’ And the perfect place to have their small elopement? Neck Point Park in Nanaimo, of course! These two treasure-hunters found their wedding outfits at vintage stores for only $30 each! They looked amazing!!
Once again I was able to be a part of a ceremony officiated by Tracy @heartofseasons I love that she always makes each ceremony incredibly personal for each couple.
It was an honour to photograph this beautiful ceremony on the traditional territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. The Snuneymuxw People have occupied the eastern shores of south-central Vancouver Island for more than 5,000 years. Their exclusive traditional territory comprises more than 98,000 hectares and extends from several kilometres north of Neck Point to Boat Harbour in the south, Gabriola Island and other small islands to the east and the western reaches of the Nanaimo River watershed. They also have an additional 104,000 hectares of non-exclusive traditional territory that they share with other First Nations.
