Where do I even begin with Heather and Alex’s wedding at the enchanting Langtry Walk? This day was an absolute whirlwind of love, laughter, and all the feels! First off, a little backstory: I’ve known Heather’s parents since I first set foot in Victoria two decades ago. In fact, I had the joy of capturing their family portraits when Heather was just 8 years old. Fast forward to now, and here I am, photographing her wedding. Talk about coming full circle!
The day was brimming with heartfelt moments, but one that stands out is Heather’s surprise for Alex. Just before their first dance, she serenaded him with a song that left everyone in awe. And the celebration that followed was nothing short of epic. Heather and her mom personally arranged all the flowers (grown mostly in Heather’s mom’s house), adding a really awesome touch to the day’s decor. I also had a chance to capture some moments on Portra film with my 35mm camera, and I loved how everything turned out.
Now, let’s talk venue. Langtry Walk is like something out of a storybook. With its rustic barns and meandering pathways, it feels like you’ve stepped into a quaint heritage village. The centerpiece is the Grand Hall, a beautifully restored saloon that’s perfect for celebrations. And then there’s “The Twisted Tree” at the entrance—a sweet spot where it’s considered good luck to steal a quick kiss under its branches.
A very special thank you to the talented Aly Sibley who was my second photographer for this wedding. Many of the photos you’ll see here were taken by her.
