There’s no question when a talented wedding photographer asks you to be a part of their celebration you feel pretty flattered — and a wee bit nervous at the same time. We loved being a part of Julia & Morgan’s wedding in beautiful Vernon, British Columbia. You may have heard about all the wildfires we’re experiencing in B.C. and our drive from Victoria to Vernon was pretty smoky and we even saw a few bush fires in the mountains along the way. Vernon was also very smoky, meaning it was going to be a challenge to see any of the scenery. Then, it happened: rain… timed perfectly just after they said their ‘I-do’s’. It was unseasonably heavy rain as well, so everyone poured into the barn for shelter while the happy couple threw a few axes (via The Axe Monkeys) Julia’s first throw was a bulls eye!!! When the rain stopped we were presented with the most stunning country scenery the Okanagan could ever offer. And the day just became more and more perfect with a delicious barbeque meal, some funny party games, a packed dance floor and a sparkler exit!! Julia & Morgan, a huge congratulations on your marriage. We had such a great time with you and your crew and wish you both happiness always!
