“Only two years ago, Jane and Bryan were living two completely different lives – Jane in the big city of Vancouver and Bryan in the quiet countryside of Saanichton. On September 28 2013, they attended a wedding in Sooke where they saw each other for the first time on the dance-floor. They were inseparable for the rest of the night and very quickly fell in love. After 1 year and 3 months of travelling back and forth across an ocean for adventures together, including Jane’s first hunting trip and Bryan’s first ballet, Bryan asked Jane to marry him and she said yes! On December 5 2014, Bryan secretly asked Jane’s father’s permission to marry her (and luckily Ray said yes too!). The next day, Jane and Bryan hiked to the top of Bear Hill “mountain” where Bryan surprised Jane with a ring! They spontaneously celebrated their engagement that night with their close friends and family. Joining their lives together has expanded both of their worlds, and they now live in Victoria with a perfect mix of natural west coast beauty and little city culture.”
