What do you get when you mix a castle (yes, the Hatley Castle—where they filmed X-Men!), an incredible couple, and a guest list full of people who know how to throw a party? You get Kimbrelle and Charlie’s unforgettable wedding day! From emotional vows on the castle lawn to their first dance on the balcony at sunset, all the way to an absolutely packed dance floor—this was such a fun day from start to finish.
Once she was ready, Kimbrelle did a grand entrance / first look with her bridesmaids and… well, I’ll let you see their reactions for yourself! I also loved that they had a chance to take photos of the wedding party ahead of the ceremony, which meant the couple could enjoy the rest of their wedding day with their favourite people. The ceremony was held on the front lawn of Hatley Castle, with a spectacular display of fall colors. It was an epic walk down the aisle and Charlie’s reaction was priceless. Love it when people cry. After their “I do’s,” the newlyweds took a few moments to soak it all in before heading to the castle’s grand balcony for their first dance at sunset. An eruption of applause as they joined back up with their guests, and their first dance was a performance that had everyone clapping.
And if you thought this gang would wind down after a long day in the sun, think again! The dance floor filled up fast and stayed packed all night. Grandparents, young cousins, best friends—everyone was out there showing off their moves. It was one of those weddings where you could tell this was a party that will be talked about for years to come. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this wedding alongside the incredibly talented Aly Sibley. Many of the photos you’ll see are hers.
