Amy & AJ are the life of any party, and this is always a great formula for an epic party. When a couple can entice 140 people to travel to a destination wedding in Costa Rica, you know they must be super cool! Amy let me know she wanted to really show off the natural surroundings in her portraits, and since the rains just started to hit Tamarindo, the Langosta Beach Club was so lush! I was joined by the amazing Kristen Brown from Samba by the Sea and she took some awesome photos throughout the day. Meghan, Sol and the team of Mil Besos once again transformed the scene into a magical site. Amy also did a lot of DIY details, including a handwoven macrame photo booth backdrop, the calligraphy for name cards, wedding invitations, signs, plus wedding veil. The tented area for dinner spread across the Langosta grounds and, even with a large group, it still felt intimate and cozy. Now, let’s talk about that epic party! After some dancing into the night, the bridesmaids were the first to jump into the pool, followed by the groomsmen, followed by pretty much everyone else, including the parents. Meghan Cox, their wedding coordinator, was even thrown in! Everyone was too wet to get on the party bus, so the whole group walked down the beach to their after party at one of the Tamarindo bars. I saw some of the guests at the airport the next day and a few hadn’t even slept – that’s how fun the night was. What a blast to photograph! Congratulations Amy & AJ!! Want more wedding photos?
