I can’t wait for you to see the photos from Sera & Zane’s amazingly fun wedding at the Swans Pub & Hotel which was filled with lots of laughter and happy tears. These two met in grade 9 English at Reynolds Secondary School here in Victoria and were just friends for a long while – until they decided there was something extra special between them.Sera started her day getting ready in the house she grew up in, surrounded by her family who were beaming through the roof with excitement for the big day. As you’ll see Sera’s nephew and niece supplied plenty of pre-wedding entertainment. I still can’t stop laughing looking at them. A gorgeous sunny rooftop greeted Sera as her mom walked her up the aisle to meet her love, Zane as the audience cheered them on! A long time ago, Zane jokingly told his besties that he’d get them swords if he ever got married and, true to his word, each groomsman was gifted beautiful blades, with names engraved on each. When the ceremony was finished we took a walk around downtown, over the Johnston Street bridge and then over to Bastion Square, taking lots of portraits and candids as just about every car we passed tooted their horn, with people yelling out, ‘Congratulations,’ proving why Victoria is the best place ever to get married. 😉 The reception was held at the penthouse sweet at Swans, with their local craft beer and Sera’s favourite Caribou rum helping to whet everyone’s whistle. And the speeches? You’ll just have to see the tears for yourself. Prepare to be charmed!!
